6 Ways to Get Rid of Bad Breath
1.Chew Sugarless Gum: One of the very old and common solutions it is. And you might have heard and tried it many a time before. Chewing gum increases salivary flow and helps remove some bacteria and staining. But use sugarless gum so you’re not feeding the bacteria in your mouth.
2.Chew Fresh Mint: If you don’t like chewing gum then this option is for you. Take some fresh mint leaves and chew them. You can carry this herb in a sandwich bag and take them to go. Mint will help freshen your breath.
3. Swirl Mouthwash: You can’t afford to carry a toothbrush and toothpaste in your office bag but surely you can carry a small pack of mouthwash along with you. Whenever you realize that you forgot brushing your teeth swirl mouthwash. “It’s also important to pick up an alcohol-free mouthwash with a zinc compound in it since zinc kills the volatile sulfur compounds,” says Dr. Jablow.
4. Baking soda: It is a wonderful ingredient because of its ability to whiten teeth and remove plaque. Simply place some on your finger, paper towel, or washcloth and brush it your teeth.
5. Paper Towel: A rough washcloth will do a better job of cleaning and when you don’t have a washcloth use a paper towel. Wrap the washcloth or paper towel around your index finger and rub on your teeth to clean them. You can also apply some toothpaste on it if you have any.
6. Use salt: Though the last option, it is but trusts me it’s not the least. Salt comes to your rescue when you forget to carry or arrange any of the above mentioned. Take a pinch of salt, rub on your teeth and rinse it out with water.
Some other alternative like chewing a twig from oak, arak, or neem trees, rinsing your mouth with green tea, rubbing lemon or orange peel on your teeth can also be used.
